I work with a variety of materials such as beeswax, plasticine, pottery clay, oven-bake clay and others. The choice of material depends upon your child’s age and the project.
Whittling
These three little pigs are very precious to me. They were carved many years ago by my Aunt. Children love whittling and with supervision can become very skilled and competent. Supervision and the correct handling of sharp tools is very important. Please do not allow your children to use knives and sharp tools unsupervised. I can advise on tools, the safe use of tools and tool sharpening.
